A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to including certain home-schooled students in the average
daily attendance of a school district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 42.005, Education Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (h) to read as follows:
(h) For purposes of this section, a school district's
average daily attendance includes a home-schooled student who takes
one or more courses from the district. The commissioner shall adopt
rules as necessary to administer this subsection.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
