                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 14, 2013      TO: Honorable Leticia Van de Putte, Chair, Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs & Military Installations      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2135 by Cortez (Relating to waivers and grants of credit for the requirements to obtain certain private security licenses to individuals who hold security credentials from the United States armed forces.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Chapter 1702 of the Occupations Code relating to waivers and grants of credit for the requirements to obtain certain private security licenses to individuals with acceptable experience gained during service in the United States armed forces. It is assumed that implementing the provisions of the bill can be absorbed within the existing resources of the agency. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
