                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 10, 2013      TO: Honorable Garnet Coleman, Chair, House Committee on County Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2170 by Rodriguez, Eddie (Relating to the provision of municipal fire, police, and emergency medical services in an area to be annexed by a municipality.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Chapter 43 of the Local Government Code to specify that an annexation plan may provide that required fire and police protection, and emergency medical services be provided by the ESD or by cooperation of the municipality and the ESD.
