 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to the regulation of manufactured housing.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Subchapter C, Chapter 1201, Occupations Code, is
 amended by adding Section 1201.119 to read as follows:
 Sec. 1201.119.  PUBLIC INFORMATION ON LICENSE HOLDERS. The
 department shall make publicly available on its website information
 regarding persons licensed under this subchapter including:
 (1)  the current status of a license and the date a
 license or renewal license was issued, suspended, revoked, or
 denied;
 (2)  a license holder's business contact information,
 including telephone number, mailing and physical address, and
 website, if any;
 (3)  the business contact information for any affiliate
 of the license holder; and
 (4)  the nature, status, and resolution of any
 complaint filed against a license holder.
 SECTION 2.  Subchapter J, Chapter 1201, Occupations Code, is
 amended by adding Section 1201.4521 to read as follows:
 Sec. 1201.4521.  POSTING OF CERTAIN INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR
 TRANSFER.  (a) A person may not sell, exchange, or lease-purchase or
 negotiate for the sale, exchange, or lease-purchase of a used
 manufactured home unless the person posts on the door of the home
 for the duration of the period the home is offered for sale,
 exchange, or lease-purchase, as applicable:
 (1)  a copy of the statement of ownership and location
 for the home; and
 (2)  information held by the department of the
 existence of any tax liens on the home.
 (b)  Information posted under this section must be printed on
 paper or other material at least eight and one-half inches wide and
 eleven inches long and be laminated or enclosed in a protective
 sleeve to prevent damage or illegibility due to weathering.
 SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
