The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to require certain registered sex offenders who use commercial social networking websites to include certain information in the person's profile and to ensure the information is viewable by all visitors of the site. It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current appropriations. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
