The bill would amend the Transportation Code to add the compressed natural gas container on certain vehicles using compressed natural gas to the list of items required for inspection at an inspection station or by an inspector. It is assumed the provisions of the bill could be implemented within current appropriations. The bill would take effect immediately upon a two-third vote of all members in both chambers; otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
