The bill would amend the Local Government Code to provide that a county may authorize a person to file electronic documents for recording with a county clerk if the county enters into a memorandum of understanding with the person. The provisions of the bill would apply only to counties with a population of 500,000 or more. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
