                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 22, 2013      TO: Honorable Geanie Morrison, Chair, House Committee on Elections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2465 by Farias (Relating to the secretary of state providing information to voters regarding their voting status through an Internet website.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code to require an Internet website maintained by the Secretary of State, in which a person can determine his or her voter registration status, to indicate whether or not a person is or may be on the suspense list. The Secretary of State indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2013.
