                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 7, 2013      TO: Honorable Geanie Morrison, Chair, House Committee on Elections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2503 by Bohac (Relating to the territory that may be included in a single county election precinct.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code relating to territorial units which may be included in a county election precinct. The bill would allow district commissioners to submit recommendations to the Secretary of State (SOS) on changes to the territorial units after redistricting. SOS indicated that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. The bill would amend the Election Code relating to territorial units which may be included in a county election precinct.
