The bill would amend Section 142.013 of the Local Government Code to specify provisions related to the business leave time account for a police officer employee organization. Under current statute, the provisions would apply only to police officers employed by a municipality with a population of one million or more that has not adopted Chapter 174 and to which Section 143.1261 does not apply. The bill would repeal Section 142.013 (i) of the Local Government Code. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
