                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 15, 2013      TO: Honorable John Whitmire, Chair, Senate Committee on Criminal Justice      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2511 by Thompson, Senfronia (Relating to the option of providing electronic recordings of proceedings in the municipal court of record for the City of Houston.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would repeal Section 30.00676 (b) of the Government Code. The bill would allow the City of Houston the option of providing electronic recordings of proceedings in the municipal court of record. The Office of Court Administration indicated no significant fiscal impact to the state judiciary is anticipated. Local Government Impact Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
