                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 24, 2013      TO: Honorable John Davis, Chair, House Committee on Economic & Small Business Development      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2531 by Davis, John (Relating to the use of money in the spaceport trust fund for educational programs related to the aerospace industry.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code to allow money from the spaceport trust fund to be used for educational programs related to the aerospace industry. The bill would allow the Texas Economic Development and Tourism Office at the Trusteed Programs within the Office of the Governor to contract with a development corporation for spaceport facilities for the infrastructure development of a spaceport.     The Office of the Governor indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2013.
