Kolkhorst, Chair, House Committee on Public Health      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2560 by Thompson, Senfronia (Relating to the care provided to a sexual assault survivor by a health care facility.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Chapter 323 of the Health and Safety Code, related to the care provided to a sexual assault survivor by a health care facility. The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) indicates that the agency would absorb costs associated with updating health facility hospital rules if the bill were enacted. Local Government Impact There may be an fiscal impact to certain local health facilities as a result of implementing provisions of the bill, but it is not expected to be significant.
