The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to electronic payment of premiums to the Texas Health Insurance pool. The bill would direct the Health Insurance Pool to establish a process for the electronic payment of premiums for health benefit coverage provided by the pool. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance, this analysis assumes that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
