The bill would amend the Election Code relating to voter registration and training standards for deputy registrars. The bill would require the Secretary of State (SOS) to make available online training materials and an examination to potential volunteer deputy registrars. The bill would make offenses under this section a Class B misdemeanor. SOS indicated that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
