The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to unemployment compensation eligibility and chargebacks regarding certain persons who are victims or whose immediate family members are victims of sexual assault. Based on information provided by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), it is assumed that benefits paid under this bill would not represent a significant impact to the Unemployment Compensation Trust Fund. It is also assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
