The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code so that a violation of any reporting requirement related to a Trap, Transport and Transplant permit (TTT) is a Class C Parks and Wildlife misdemeanor. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department indicates the violation is currently a Class B misdemeanor, and any related revenue gain to the General Revenue-Dedicated Game, Fish and Water Safety Account No. 9 from reclassifying the violation would not reflect a significant fiscal implication to the account. The bill would take immediate effect if the bill receives two-thirds the vote in both houses. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
