The bill would require school districts that were granted an exception to required class sizes to report to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) the number of students added to each affected class and the total number of students in each affected class. Based on the analysis of TEA, the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact There would be some administrative costs to school districts that applied for a classroom waiver to collect and report the additional information required.
