Lewis, Chair, House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2839 by Frullo (Relating to a landowner's liability for certain aviation activities on the owner's land.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to define aviation activities as a recreational activity for the purpose of premises liability. The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the court system resulting from the bill. The change in law would apply only to a cause of action accruing on or after the effective date of the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
