The bill would require the Contract Advisory Team (CAT) to identify the types of procurements that pose a low risk of loss to the state and to develop a model contract management process for use with those procurements which would be included in the contract management guide required under Section 2262.051, Government Code. The Office of the Governor, Office of the Attorney General, Facilities Commission, Comptroller of Public Accounts and the Department of Information Resources indicate that costs to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
