The bill would amend Chapter 22 of the Alcoholic Beverage Code relating to the sale of alcoholic beverages to customers of a package store after the designated end of the hours of legal sale. The Alcoholic Beverage Commission has determined that the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
