The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure as it relates to exculpatory evidence in criminal prosecutions. The Office of Attorney General does not anticipate that the bill will have a fiscal impact on the agency. The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate a significant fiscal impact to the court system resulting from the bill. The change in law would apply to a criminal proceeding that commences on or after the bill's effective date. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
