                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 12, 2013      TO: Honorable Mike Villarreal, Chair, House Committee on Investments & Financial Services      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3033 by Rodriguez, Eddie (Relating to the confidentiality of information contained in credit access business license applications.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Finance Code to provide that certain information included by a credit service organization on an application to obtain a license is subject to the Public Information Act. The Office of the Attorney General indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house. Otherwise, the bill would take September 1, 2013.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
