Kolkhorst, Chair, House Committee on Public Health      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3183 by Laubenberg (Relating to the types of medical professionals who may conduct an examination of certain school bus drivers.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.   The bill would amend the Transportation Code to add chiropractors to the list of medical professionals that could conduct examinations of school bus drivers to determine whether the drivers meet the capability requirements to operate a school bus. It is assumed the cost of implementing the provision of the bill could be absorbed within current appropriations. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
