The bill would amend the Transportation Code to add chiropractors to the list of medical professionals that could conduct examinations of school bus drivers to determine whether the drivers meet the capability requirements to operate a school bus. It is assumed the cost of implementing the provision of the bill could be absorbed within current appropriations. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
