                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 22, 2013      TO: Honorable Abel Herrero, Chair, House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3297 by Guillen (Relating to the offenses for which the use of wire, oral, or electronic interception devices may be authorized.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would authorize the interception, with a court order, of wire, oral, or electronic communications in prosecuting all money laundering and felony possession of marihauna offenses after the prosecutor establishes probable cause.   The Department of Public Safety reported anticipates no fiscal impact as a result of the bill. The Officer of Court Administrations anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the state judiciary. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
