Lewis, Chair, House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3378 by Price (Relating to an annual term for the 47th District Court.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code to specify that the term of the 47th District Court in Armstrong County begins on the first Monday in January. The bill would repeal Government Code Section 24.149(c) specifying terms of each county within the 47th District Court. The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the court system resulting from the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
