Smithee, Chair, House Committee on Insurance      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3451 by Eiland (Relating to the formation, operation, and authority to engage in business of insurance companies and other entities regulated under the Insurance Code; restructuring or changing fees.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the formation, operation, and authority to engage in the business of insurance companies and other entities regulated under the Insurance Code; restructuring or changing fees.  Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance and the Office of the Attorney General, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
