The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the recusal, disqualification, and assignment of judges. The change in law would apply only to motions for recusal or disqualification filed on or after the bill's effective date. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013. It is not anticipated that the bill would result in any significant fiscal impact to the court system.      Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
