The bill would amend the Government Code to create the Office of Small Business Assistance Advisory Task Force (task force), to be established by the Office of Small Business Assistance at the Office of the Governor. The bill would establish the duties, compensation, and composition of the task force, including the manner in which appointments to the task force are made and the duration of each member's term served. The Office of the Governor estimates there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill. This bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of each house; otherwise, it would take effect on September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
