A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the addition of flood control measures on the state
highway system.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 201.6111, Transportation Code, is added
as follows:
Sec. 201.6111. FLOOD CONTROL MEASURES. In the construction
of its highway projects, the department shall add flood control
measures to the project and to existing parts of the state highway
system directly affected by the project.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
