The bill would require districts to adopt a local policy to allow a parent or person standing in parental relation to any student to request a transfer of the student from the campus the student would otherwise attend to another campus in the district. The bill would require campuses to take certain measures if the parents of more than four percent of the students at the campus request a transfer. Local Government Impact Districts would incur costs related to implementing the provisions of the bill, although these costs would vary.
