A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the financial stability of recipients of the
supplemental nutrition assistance program.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Section 33, Human Resources Code,
is amended by adding 33.060 to read as follows:
Section 33.060. TREATMENT OF RESOURCES FOR RECIPIENTS. The
commission shall disregard the value of all liquid resources and
vehicles upon determining initial eligibility and recertification
of households for the supplemental nutrition assistance program.
