The bill would amend the Occupations Code as it relates to requirements for issuance of a license to practice orthotics and prosthetics. Under the provisions of the bill, the Texas Board of Orthotics and Prosthetics, a licensing board that is administratively attached to the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), would be required to modify rules and application forms.
