The bill would amend Chapter 18 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to permit the execution of a warrant to collect a blood specimen from a person suspected of committing an intoxication offense under certain Penal Code provisions in a county that is contiguous to the county in which the warrant is issued. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
