                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 21, 2013      TO: Honorable Joe Straus, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB674 by Ratliff (Relating to providing notice of certain proposed municipal zoning changes to a school district.), As Passed 2nd House    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require municipalities to provide written notice of certain proposed zoning changes to each school district in the area in which the proposed change is located. The bill would also provide an exception to certain municipalities as defined by the provisions of the bill.
