The bill would amend Section 11, Article 49.25, Code of Criminal Procedure, to allow a governmental body to withhold photos and x-rays of a body during an autopsy without requesting ruling from the Attorney Generals Office. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact The bill would likely reduce workload for counties that answer these types of public information requests; however, savings are not anticipated to be significant.
