The bill would amend the Transportation Code as it relates to agreements between a county and the Department of Public Safety for the joint operation of certain fixed-site facilities. Under the provisions of the bill, a county and the Department of Public safety may enter into an agreement for the joint operation of a fixed-site facility that is located within the boundaries of the county. The bill would take effect upon September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
