The bill would amend the Business and Commerce Code and exempt the intrastate manufacture of a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition from federal law or federal regulation, including registration. The bill would require the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), upon written notification by a resident of the State, to seek a declaratory judgment from a federal district court. The OAG indicates that any additional costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
