                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 25, 2013      TO: Honorable Jim Keffer, Chair, House Committee on Energy Resources      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HJR97 by Dale (Proposing a constitutional amendment to rename the Railroad Commission of Texas as the Texas Energy Commission.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, other than the cost of publication.  The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $108,921.  The resolution would change the name of the Railroad Commission of Texas to the Texas Energy Commission. Although the bill would require the Railroad Commission/Energy Commission to revise documents, make changes to the agency's website, and replace signage, such costs are not expected to be significant.
