H.R. No. 1118
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Members of the Dallas County Council of Republican
Women have demonstrated a longstanding commitment to civic and
political engagement in their community; and
WHEREAS, The DCCRW is the umbrella organization for the 16
Republican women's clubs in Dallas County; in supporting its goal
of electing Republican candidates to public office, the council
works to facilitate cooperation among its federated clubs, advance
the principles of the Republican Party, and create an informed
public through political education and action; and
WHEREAS, Active in the Dallas community at many levels, the
DCCRW strives to increase Republican representation in local
government by coordinating grassroots activities designed to
galvanize women to vote in the November elections; council members
additionally participate in community outreach initiatives, which
include assisting the families of military personnel at
deployments, homecomings, and related events; and
WHEREAS, The public-spirited members of the Dallas County
Council of Republican Women have made a positive impact in the lives
of their fellow Texans, and they may reflect with great pride on
their many worthwhile contributions; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby honor the Dallas County Council of Republican
Women for its many accomplishments and extend to its membership
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the DCCRW as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
