No. 1204 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Ryan Cade of Angleton has deservedly been named a 2013 Philanthropist of the Year by the Community Foundation of Brazoria County; and WHEREAS, A fourth-generation Brazoria County resident, Ryan Cade was born in Freeport and attended Brazoswood High School; he graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he lettered in football all four years; he followed in his mother's footsteps to become a State Farm Insurance agent, and today he owns the State Farm Agency in Angleton as well as the R-C Development construction company; and WHEREAS, Mr. Cade contributes his time and expertise to a wide range of organizations throughout the county; he serves on the board of directors of the Brazoria County Appraisal District, the Greater Angleton Chamber of Commerce, the Campus Advisory Council for Angleton High School, and Angleton's Downtown Revitalization Group, and he also supports the Southwest SIDS Research Institute, the Coastal Conservation Association, Junior Achievement of Brazoria County, the Angleton Police Department Training Advisory Board, Brazoria County Fair Association's Youth Auction, United Way of Brazoria County, and the Brazosport College Foundation; and WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Cade enjoys the love and support of his wife, Kelli, and the couple are the proud parents of three children, R. C., Miller, and Logan; the Cades are active members of the Family Life Church; and WHEREAS, Dedicated to his fellow citizens, Ryan Cade has set an outstanding example of leadership and generosity, and it is indeed a pleasure to honor him for his many good works; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Ryan Cade on his selection as a 2013 Philanthropist of the Year by the Community Foundation of Brazoria County and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Cade as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
