H.R. No. 1257
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Richard and Helen
Fisher of Greenville celebrated this joyous milestone in their
marriage on March 16, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Fisher were joined in matrimony in 1963
at a ceremony held in San Antonio; through the years, they have been
blessed with a treasured family that includes four children, Brian
Fisher and his wife, Maria, Michael Fisher and his wife, Carla,
Kristina Bily and her husband, David, and Janet McKay and her
husband, Brian; and
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Fisher is
retired from E-Systems, and together he and Mrs. Fisher run Helen
Fisher Antiques; in their free time, they enjoy traveling and
doting on their eight grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Fisher have enjoyed half a century of
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Richard and Helen Fisher on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Fisher as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
