H.R. No. 1330
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, PointBank was named the 2013 Business of the Year by
the Pilot Point Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, An independent, locally owned bank, PointBank has
been a part of the community for more than 125 years; originally
established in 1884, the bank was chartered as Pilot Point National
Bank in 1892, and its first president was A. H. Gee; today, it has
nine branches in Denton County and is overseen by president Ray
David, Jr.; and
WHEREAS, PointBank gives back to area residents by supporting
numerous worthwhile institutions and organizations, including the
Friends of the Pilot Point Library, the Pilot Point Educational
Foundation, the Pilot Point Community Opera House, the Pilot Point
Chamber of Commerce, local chapters of the FFA and the American
Legion, and Pilot Point youth sports teams, among others; and
WHEREAS, Through its many outreach efforts and its long
history in North Texas, PointBank has secured its stature as a
valued corporate citizen while earning widespread loyalty and
admiration; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate PointBank on its selection as the
2013 Business of the Year by the Pilot Point Chamber of Commerce and
extend to its management and staff sincere best wishes for
continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the bank as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
