H.R. No. 1458
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Alexa Pagano of Atascocita Middle School in Humble
earned the Overall Award of Excellence in Dance Choreography at the
2013 Texas PTA Reflections competition; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1969, PTA Reflections has involved
millions of student performers and artists from across the country
over the past 45 years; the Texas 2013 Reflections program, The
Magic of a Moment, received 1,054 entries in six categories: dance
choreography, film production, literature, photography, musical
composition, and visual arts; and
WHEREAS, Only 30 entrants were recognized with the Overall
Award of Excellence, and Alexa Pagano's dance piece, "This Is Me,"
received that honor in the Middle Junior division; as a result, she
will advance to the national PTA competition; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Anthony and Claudine
Pagano, Alexa Pagano has demonstrated exceptional talent and
dedication as a dance choreographer, and she may take justifiable
pride in her notable accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Alexa Pagano on receiving the
Overall Award of Excellence in Dance Choreography in the 2013 Texas
PTA Reflections competition and extend to her sincere best wishes
for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Pagano as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
