 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Sun City Hunting and Fishing Club donated $5,500
 raised through its annual silent auction to five deserving local
 organizations; and
 WHEREAS, A group that encourages outdoor sporting activities
 among individuals of all skill levels, the Sun City Hunting and
 Fishing Club also plays a positive role in the community through its
 charitable efforts; and
 WHEREAS, Proceeds from the club's 2012 fund-raiser are
 benefiting the Texas Brigades organization, which involves youth in
 conservation initiatives, Honor Flight, which assists veterans in
 visiting the World War II National Memorial in Washington, D.C.,
 the Ride On Center for Kids, which provides equine therapy for
 children and adults with physical and cognitive challenges, the Boy
 Scouts Capitol Area Council, and the Girl Scouts of the United
 States; and
 WHEREAS, The silent auction is held in conjunction with the
 club's popular fish fry and also helps finance several other
 endeavors, including the Georgetown Junior University Project,
 which teaches children how to fish, and cooperative work with the
 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to improve the fishing habitat of Lake
 Georgetown; moreover, the club sponsors Wounded Warrior
 Appreciation events and stocks the Berry Creek Pond with fish, and
 it is contributing to the creation of a new two-acre lake in Sun
 City; and
 WHEREAS, By supporting a range of worthwhile causes, the Sun
 City Hunting and Fishing Club is enriching the civic life of Central
 Texas, and its members are to be commended for their commitment and
 generosity; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby honor the Sun City Hunting and Fishing Club for
 its contributions to the community and extend to its members
 sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the club as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
