H.R. No. 177
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, Murray and Jean McNeely of Lubbock celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on December 16, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Murray McNeely and the former Jean Forrest exchanged
the vows of matrimony in Lubbock on that memorable day in 1962, and
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a
devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McNeely count among their blessings a
fine family that includes five children, David McNeely and his
wife, Tracey, Kevin McNeely and his wife, Tonya, Russell McNeely,
Jennifer Hise and her husband, Tom, and Christina Truitt and her
husband, Chris, as well as nine grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past half-century, Murray and
Jean McNeely can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Murray and Jean McNeely on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McNeely as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
