R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kelly Mantle of the Northside Independent School
District in San Antonio has been named the 2013 Assistant Principal
of the Year for District 20 by the Texas Elementary Principals and
Supervisors Association; and
WHEREAS, Each year, TEPSA pays tribute to school
administrators in each of 20 districts in the state who have
demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Mantle is vice principal of Christian Evers
Elementary School, which serves nearly 900 students in
prekindergarten through fifth grade; a native of San Antonio, she
attended Northside schools and went on to earn a bachelor's degree
in interdisciplinary studies from The University of Texas at San
Antonio and a master's degree in educational leadership; before
joining the administration at Evers, she taught for 15 years at
Howsman Elementary; and
WHEREAS, Kelly Mantle has made a positive difference in the
lives of many young Texans, and her receipt of this award reflects
the high regard in which she is held by her peers; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Kelly Mantle on her selection as
the 2013 Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Elementary
Principals and Supervisors Association for District 20 and extend
to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Mantle as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
