H.R. No. 2023
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislative Session, Britt Brandon
has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in the office of
State Representative Drew Springer; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Brandon has
contributed to the workings of state government firsthand; in
addition to learning more about the legislative process and the
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained
valuable work experience in the field of public service; throughout
the session, he has provided important assistance in such areas as
research and constituent casework; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brandon is a junior at The University of Texas
at Austin, where he is actively involved in campus life; he is a
member of Kappa Sigma Tau and Sigma Alpha Lambda and a recipient of
scholarships from both the Terry Foundation and the Coca-Cola
Scholars Foundation; he previously served as an intern for
Congressman Michael McCaul; and
WHEREAS, This noteworthy young Texan has performed his duties
as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby commend Britt Brandon for his service as a
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Drew
Springer and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Brandon as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
