R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and
meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the loved ones of
Karlene Snoek of Wildwood, who passed away on April 17, 2013, at the
age of 69; and
WHEREAS, A native of Port Arthur, Ms. Snoek served as a social
worker with the Texas Department of Human Services and retired
after a long and productive career; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Snoek was blessed with three children, Shelley,
Scott, and James, and she had welcomed a beloved grandchild into her
family; and
WHEREAS, Karlene Snoek treasured the time she spent in the
company of her family and friends, and she will forever hold a
special place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Karlene Snoek and
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
children, Shelley Simmons, Scott Simmons, and James Karel
VanPaaschen; to her sister, Loretta Snoek Griffin; to her
grandchild; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Karlene
Snoek.
